Pokemon Sword and Shield news: Pokemon Company apologies for ‘multiple errors’
Pokemon Sword and Shield gamers have been sent an apology from the Pokemon Company after “multiple” errors were discovered in a companion guide. In an open letter the Pokemon Company apologised after errors were spotted in the Nintendo Switch game’s official strategy book. The Pokemon Sword and Shield guidebook reportedly contained “multiple errors” that were not spotted during the editing process.
As reported in a post by Game Revolution, all of the errors in the Pokemon Sword and Shield guidebook were listed in a PDF on the company’s website.
The letter to Pokemon Sword and Shield fans said: “Thank you for always enjoying the “Pokemon” series.
“In ‘Pokemon Sword Shield Official Guide Book Complete Story Strategies + Garal Encyclopedia’ issued by Overlap Co., Ltd. on December 7, 2019, the data and data provided by Pokemon Co., Ltd. at the time of editing work are incorrect.
“Yes, and it turned out that there were multiple errors based on it.

“We apologise for any inconvenience to our readers.”
The Pokemon Sword and Shield guide which contained the errors is different from the one that was available in the West.
So, the “multiple errors” that were spotted only affects Pokemon Sword and Shield fans in Japan.
An apology over typos in a guidebook is very in keeping with Japanese culture, where politeness and how you behave in public is vastly important.
This is underlined by an apology issued over two years ago by the management of the Tsukuba Express train line that runs to Tokyo.
The Japanese rail company apologised after one of its trains departed 20 seconds early.
