OG unable to win debut match against mousesports at cs_summit 5

While facing back-to-back tournament winners, mousesports, OG was unable to pick up a win in its debut in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The team kicked off its CS:GO run in Los Angeles, California at the cs_summit 5 event.

Playing mousesports on Mirage, OG went down heavily to open up their T-side by giving up eight straight rounds to the defense. The team was able to string together six rounds in the latter part of the half before giving up the final round to be down 9-6 at the half.

The new international mix would be able to grab the pistol and put themselves in a prime position to get back into the game, however, mousesports came back in the next round and destroyed the CT economy. This led to four rounds coming in for mousesports unanswered, giving them a 13-7 lead before OG would pick up another round, their last of the map.

The match wasn’t without glimpses of brilliance from the new OG lineup, and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski even pulled out a 1v2 collateral kill.

With the format being used at cs_summit 5, the two teams will battle it out once more on dust2. All six teams will compete in a round-robin group stage in which they play each other on two maps. Each victory will be worth $1,500. After the group stage concludes, the top four teams will move in a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.
