The Diablo 4 Season 1 release date will be announced later this week. Blizzard has confirmed plans to hold a Diablo livestream, which will focus on the first season of Diablo 4, upcoming quality of life improvements, plus new features for Diablo Immortal. The news was announced by Blizzard, alongside a preview of what fans can expect from the upcoming event.
According to a Blizzard blog post, the company will use the event to announce a new character class coming Diablo Immortal.
“Kicking off the livestream will be Senior Narrative Designer Ryan Quinn and Lead UX Designer Chris Liao, announcing the new class debuting exclusively in Diablo Immortal,” Blizzard confirms.
“Following the Diablo Immortal news, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora and Lead Game Producer Timothy Ismay will be announcing the first Season of Diablo IV, along with incoming quality-of-life updates.”
Elsewhere, fans will be able to ask the developers questions during a live Q&A session, which will take place at the end of the stream.
Blizzard will then post two additional articles, which will provide more details about the subjects covered during the Diablo livestream.
This will likely include a closer look at the Season 1 Battle Pass, as well as a more in-depth look at the quality of life and balance changes.

Diablo 4: Blizzard Entertainment release official gameplay trailer
The news comes just a few days after the release of a major Diablo 4 gameplay update.
According to the recent patch notes, Blizzard used the update to increase the effectiveness of core skills.
Blizzard has also increased the amount of XP gained from Nightmare Dungeons, while improving the loot dropped by Helltide Roaming bosses.
The company will continue to monitor character balance, while also working on fixing one or two game-breaking bugs.
Fingers crossed the next update – which will be detailed on July 6 – will make the necessary improvements to the highly-rated dungeon crawler.
