Diablo 3 Season 20 start time and release date update for D3 Season of Forbidden Archives

The next Season of Diablo 3 action is launching today, and some gamers will be starting their quests before others. New Season of the Forbidden Archives rewards and Legendary items will be included, with plenty of special stuff being planned. New Class Sets include The Typhon’s Veil, Mundunugu’s Regalia, and the Horde of the Ninety Savages. At the same time, Blizzard has also confirmed that all slots in Kanai’s Cube will be able to select Legendary powers from Weapon, Armour, or Jewelry.

Some of these changes are available to check out now but many gamers are waiting until the new Diablo 3 Season start date to tinker with these tweaks.

Diablo 3 Season 20 has a start date set for March 13, and we also know more about the official release times, and how it will affect console and PC players differently.

The good news is that everyone will be getting access to D3 Season 20 at roughly the same time. The downside is that some platforms will be waiting longer than others, and this will mean some players getting a heads start.

Like in the past, PC players will have the shortest wait time, with Diablo Season 20 on Battle.Net launching ahead of the console version of the game.

DIABLO 3 SEASON 20 START TIME

Blizzard has confirmed that PC players will get access to Diablo 3 Season 20 first on Friday, March 13. The good news is that regardless of platform, a unified start time is being used for launch today across timezones.

Diablo 3 Season 20 will be starting at 5pm, GMT, PT and KST, on the same day, March 13. This has been the formula used by Blizzard for some time and it doesn’t look like it will be changing anytime soon.

A message from Blizzard confirms: “Season 20 begins Friday, March 13 at 5:00 p.m. PDT in North America, 5:00 p.m. CET in Europe, and 5:00 p.m. KST in Asia.”

Meanwhile, Diablo 3 fans on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will have to wait several hours extra to start their adventures.

The D3 Season 20 console start time has been set for 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, regardless of which regional version of the game you may have.

Due to the timing begin employed by Blizzard, it means that Diablo 3 Season 20 on consoles won’t technically start in Europe until Saturday, March 14.

Even with taking in the changes to Daylight Savings, the new seasonal update won’t be going live until midnight on March 14, in the UK.

Blizzard no longer provides anticipated Season end dates but are instead committed to having them run for around three months.

The good news is that Blizzard will provide a minimum of two weeks advance notice for when Season 20 will be ending, which means it will probably remain playable until June 2020.

Blizzard has also confirmed that they will be offering rewards from past seasons for those gamers who might not have been playing at the time. For Season 20, this means rewards that were originally available from Season 8 are returning to the Season Journey.

On top of this, players will also be able to unlock two new cosmetic rewards if they complete the entirety of the Season journey, including the Teganze Warrior Portrait Frame and Bat pet.

Explaining more about the new Season Journey, Blizzard confirmed: “The Class Sets rewarded for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:

“Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!

“The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.”

Haedrig’s Gift sets for Diablo 3 Season 20 includes:

  • Barbarian – Immortal King’s Call
  • Crusader – Seeker of the Light
  • Demon Hunter – Natalya’s Vengeance
  • Monk – Uliana’s Stratagem
  • Necromancer – Trag’Oul’s Avatar
  • Witch Doctor – Spirit of Arachyr
  • Wizard – Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
