Sparking Arrow Gaming announce roster changes

Sparking Arrow Gaming was one of the teams impacted by the big Chinese shuffle and are now ready to introduce an almost fully revamped line-up.

SAG’s stellar carry player Zhong “圣子华炼/ God King” Liushuai went earlier this month to Royal Never Give Up, leaving the team to look for a replacement. The search didn’t take long and today, SAG announced on their Weibo page to have signed Wang “J” Wenjun, who was previously under a trial period with Team Aster. J came to SAG as a free agent, the organization mentioned. However, in the mid lane they acquired Deng “Dstones”‘ Lei, former player of Team Sirius, Aster’s sister squad.

Changes occurred to the offlane position as well, as Ou “OpGod” Peng decided to retire and move to the coach position for the team, while Su “Flywin” Lei has been transferred from Royal Never Give Up to take his place. For the support duties, SAG will continue with Xue “September” Zhichuan in the soft support role. Also, their fifth player, Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao got replaced by Xiao “XCJ” Chaojian coming on a trial basis.

Sparking Arrow Gaming roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Wang “J” Wenjun
  • Deng “Dstones” Lei
  • Su “Flywin” Lei
  • Xue “September” Zhichuan

“We welcome the new players to our team and we hope they can work on establishing the synergy as soon as possible and get outstanding achievements at the China Dota 2 Pro Cup. We also hope OpGod can adapt to his new identity as a coach and achieve better results with the team,” said Sparking Arrow Gaming in their announcement.

SAG will debut their new roster this coming Saturday, September 19, the third day of group stage matches at China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 1. Until then, the China Dota 2 fans will have the opportunity to see in action the new PSG.LGD and Team Aster line-ups fighting against each other tomorrow September 17 and on the next day, September 18, Vici Gaming, EHOME and Royal Never Give Up will also have their first official matches with their revamped rosters.
