How to begin
First, interested users will have to set up their Twitch account. Then they are required to fill out a form with questions asking your Artist Name, monthly listens, and more. Once all of that is done, users are able to go into their settings to customize their profiles.
Creators are required to have access to a PC or Mac with a working webcam and microphone. They can use Twitch Studio or OBS to set up their broadcast and connect with their fans.
In order to earn money, fans will need to subscribe to their channel. Creators will also be able to run ads, link to their music or merch store, or link to their donation page.
Helping creators out
This is a big step for plenty of creators out there that are missing out on potential income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the virus continues to spread rapidly, people are told to stay home and cancel all social gatherings. Entertainers are also suffering during this time as they don’t have an audience to entertain — which means a loss of vital income. Now, with the ability to stream on Twitch and upload on SoundCloud, people are given an opportunity to make money.
