[Last Chance] Destiny 2: Where Is Xur May 15-19? Exotic Weapon, Armor & Location

The last Iron Banner of the Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy is underway, along with the community event tied to the new quest called “The Lie.” That makes this a good opportunity to hit up Xur and get some new Exotics while he’s in the solar system this weekend, to help you knock out the Iron Banner’s Cast in Iron quest. Here’s where to find him and what he’s selling. Both Xur and Iron Banner will be gone on Tuesday, May 19, so there’s still a little more time to grab new gear.

Head to Io to find Xur this week, in the Giant’s Scar area. For his weapon, Xur is offering D.A.R.C.I. Hunters can pick up The Sixth Coyote chest armor; for Titans, there’s the Dunemarchers leg armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets.

Xur Location

Spawn in at the Giant’s Scar transmat zone and hop on your sparrow. Head northeast through the archway, then turn north and head to the edge of the area. You’ll find Xur hanging out in a cave set in the cliff face, on the right side near a lamp.

Xur Exotic Items

This week, Xur is selling the Exotic sniper rifle D.A.R.C.I., which provides you with lots of details about enemies when you target them with its scope while dealing extra damage. Warlocks can also snag the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets, an Exotic from the Season of the Worthy, if you haven’t unlocked it yet. If you’re not a fan of those options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own. He also has the Five of Swords challenge card, which lets you enable modifiers for Nightfall Strikes.

  • Exotic Engram — 97 legendary shards
  • D.A.R.C.I. — 29 legendary shards
  • The Sixth Coyote — 23 legendary shards
  • Dunemarchers — 23 legendary shards
  • Claws of Ahamkara — 23 legendary shards
  • Five of Swords — free

D.A.R.C.I. (Sniper Rifle)

Though D.A.R.C.I. doesn’t get a lot of rotation in the meta over alternatives like Whisper of the Worm or Izanagi’s Burden, it’s still a solid Exotic for dishing out a lot of damage. When you scope in on enemies, its Personal Assistant perk gives you critical info, including enemy health. And while that info is displayed, the sniper gets better target acquisition and does extra precision damage, making it good against both bosses and other Guardians.

The Sixth Coyote (Hunter)

Nothing too special about The Sixth Coyote, but it can be very handy for various Hunter builds. The chest armor gives you a second dodge charge; paired with Gambler’s Dodge, that can help you get your melee back super-quick, and with Marksman’s Dodge, can help you keep your guns loaded. Pair it with various different mods and weapons that take advantage of melee or quick reloads, and you can do a lot of damage with this Exotic, even though it’s built for defense.

Dunemarchers (Titan)

If you favor shoulder charges as a Titan, Dunemarchers can help. The Exotic amps up your sprint speed, and as you run, you build up a static charge that gets released when you melee attack enemies. The static electricity chains to other enemies, giving you a melee that can spread through lots of enemies in PvE, or potentially damage and kill multiple Guardians in PvP.

Claws of Ahamkara (Warlock)

Xur’s Warlock offering this week is an Exotic from the current season, and if you haven’t nabbed it yet, you should. The Exotic gauntlets give you a second melee charge, which can be devastating with the right Warlock build or with weapons with the Swashbuckler perk.
