Heroic bench Snappi & es3tag

After a turbulent couple of weeks for Heroic, it seems the drama saga is not over. Patrick “es3tag” Hansen and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer have been moved to the bench from the active lineup.

“Heroic has during the last month experienced somewhat of a turmoil, but is finally back on track,” the official post from Heroic started. While it was already known that es3tag would be departing the team come July 1 to join Astralis, the decision to remove Snappi from the active lineup is a bit more surprising.

es3tag decision to become Astralis’ sixth man caused a big wave that saw the deal between Heroic and FunPlus Phoenix fall apart and sent the Danish lineup back to Denmark. To make it odder, the acquisition of the roster by FPX had been made public by both organizations as if it was official. The team was competing in FLASHPOINT 1 under the FPX banner when things began to break.

Snappi had been with Heroic since September, kicking off his second stint with the organization. He had been with the team from 2016 to 2018 previously. Snappi was brought back to take the place of Adam “friberg” Friberg and was moved to the in-game leader position once more after Benjamin “blameF” Bremer made the move to Complexity.

The announcement from Heroic closes by saying that the replacements should be revealed in the coming week.
